Put the sermon.net Sermon Studio to work for your Ministry!
NOTE: Free accounts are currently limited to our Audio/PDF Studio, with Flash players and RSS feeds only. In Fall 2013 we will be releasing a new Studio to all accounts, both Free and Premium. This release will make HTML5 delivery and the full feature-set available to Free accounts as well, with some Usage (storage + bandwidth) limits in place based on the package selected.
Upload media through your Sermon Studio to archive and deliver your Audio, Video, and PDF Documents. All storage and delivery is managed by our Data Centers. Perform Live Broadcasts and automatically archive this content for future distribution. Embed the feature-rich Media Center into any of your web sites or blogs to encourage visitor interaction and growth. All media is also accessible through Podcast feeds for easy syndication, and through Mobile Apps for both iPhone and Android devices. Absolutely no outside advertising will appear near your content. Sermon Network’s Sermon Studio is the only tool you need… and it includes fantastic friendly support to help serve your Ministry!
The Sermon Network provides ministries with 3 primary methods for media distribution:
1. Media Centers for enhanced visitor immersion/interaction, and simple Players that can be embedded anywhere.
2. Podcast Feeds for syndication of your media files through iTunes and other RSS software.
3. Mobile Apps for both iPhone and Android devices.
FEATURING THE MEDIA CENTER
Engaging your visitors, and encouraging their interaction, is as important online as it is within your sanctuary. For your visitors, we have combined Live & On-demand delivery with the interaction of visitor chat, and widespread sharing across social networks such as Facebook. They can also take & save Notes within their visitor account, and create a playlist of favorite messages for future viewing. For more detailed information on the Media Center, keep reading!

ABOUT MEDIA CENTERS
Customize your Media Center to tie seamlessly into your exiting web site. Or, re-invent your online presence with your Media Center as the back-bone! Below is a sampling of all that you can do within your Media Center, completely managed within your Studio. We strongly encourage you to use your own custom domain for your Media Center web address – we make this very easy to do. Keep reading for more information!
1. CUSTOM THEMES
- provide information specific to this Channel, including title and contact information
- upload your Channel image (JPEG at 640 x 352), as well as your iPhone App’s Channel banner art (640 x 180), if you purchased a custom iPhone app.
a) Interface Colors: choose the colors that look best for your Media Center
b) Interface Images:
- Logo Image: upload a 300×75 image to the top left of your Media Center (transparent PNG often works best)
- Background Image: upload a large FULL-PAGE image, or smaller TILE graphic that will appear behind your . Your Media Center can center itself over the FULL-PAGE image. A 1800 x 1800 image is a good place to start to be sure if fills in the space on most monitors.
- Fav Icon: this small icon will display next to your bookmark within the bookmark’s folder, and also on the tab within the browser.
c) Watermark: upload a semi-transparent logo or image that will appear in the location of your choice over your video. You can set a link on this watermark as well.
NOTE: the image that shows within the player is the image that is associated with the top Episode in the Channel’s playlist. This Episode artwork should be JPEG that is uploaded at 640 x 352.
2. CUSTOM DOMAIN
You can point a custom domain to your new Media Center. (i.e. media.mychurch.com, or whatever…)
3. ECHO CONVERSATION TOOL
This is powerful! Allow your visitors to connect with each other, and share their comments (in real time) across their social network of friends. These comments then link back directly to a specific record in your Campus. You can enable and disable this feature/tab on a per-record bases.
a) Watch people interact during your live events - without refreshing the page!
b) Viewers can share your broadcast with their friends across all their favorite social networks at once - driving new traffic.
c) Echo captures conversations related to your broadcasts from across the web and places them into your Media Center.
d) Echo allows visitors to connect to your site using their profile from the worlds most popular social networks.
e) Echo increases engagement by providing more ways for you to interact with your viewers as they get involved.
f) Echo captures the Social Gestures relating to your content including comments, likes star ratings and more!
g) Echo supports moderation methods including, blocking users, blocking IP addresses, bad word filtering, and more.
4. UNLIMITED CHANNELS / MEDIA CENTERS
Your Media Center can include multiple Channels (i.e. a Channel for your Youth Ministry, your mid-week Bible Study, your Drama team, etc…). Each channel/campus can have its own theme/look and podcast feeds. Your Campuses can all be linked together, or kept entirely separate.
5. Artwork for iPhone Channels & Series
Upload custom artwork for your iPhone. Define a Channel as an “iPhone Series” to distinguish a group of sermons/records.
You can enable and disable this feature/tab on a per-record bases. Within the Studio, provide an outline (or notes) using the integrated HTML (WYSISYG) Editor. The Notes tab will appear within your Campus when the Record is selected. They can be edited, saved, and printed by the viewer.
7. CALL TO ACTION
Display the content you desire using the integrated HTML (WYSISYG) Editor. The display can be turned ON/OFF within the Campus, in real-time, without the viewer needing to refresh the page.
8. CUSTOM CONTENT
Within your Studio’s Campus control page you can create links to external pages, or create popup overlay windows that contain content created using the integrated HTML (WYSIWYG) editor. The buttons will appear in the top left of your Campus. Each Campus/Channel can have unique navigation.
9. FACEBOOK FAN BOX
Want to let users become a fan of your website? Now you can! A Facebook Fan Box widget lets users become fans while visiting your site.
10. INTEGRATED BIBLE
Contains 45 versions in 22 languages. You can enable and disable this feature/tab on a per-Campus bases.
11. RELATED EPISODES
Use this to “connect” Episodes so that your visitors can move through your Archive more effectively and discover related content.
12. LIVE CHAT
During a Live Broadcast event you can interact with your visitors, and allow them to interact with each other… in “real-time.”
To Activate the Live CHAT within the Campus, go to the Episode through your Archive and within the LIVE Module you will find the check-box to turn on or off the Chat Feature.
You can moderate this Live CHAT by entering your Name and Password in the Live section of the Episode detail’s page. Then, within the Media Center Live Chat module, enter the same Name, and within the text box below type “!admin”. Then you will be prompted to enter the Password that you designated within the Studio.
13. LIVE COUNTDOWN TIMER
Display a timer that counts down to the next Live event, and provides link to specific broadcast record.
14. SOCIAL LAUNCH BUTTON
People can share access to your media by adding a button/banner to their page or blog that will launch your Campus or Media Center in a pre-size window. The button contains the embed code that allows anyone to embed this button on their site and share your Campus. You can upload a custom image for this button, and save templates for later use.
15. HTML5 and MOBILE Versions
All features outlined above are also available through non-Flash-based versions of the Campus, for access on most portable devices!
16. DUPLICATE EPISODE
You can now easily make a copy of any Episode (details & media) in your Archive.
17. EPISODE SCHEDULER
You now have the ability to turn an Episode ON and OFF automatically, based on pre-scheduled dates that you set when creating the Episode. This will affect the Episode’s availability in your Media Centers and/or Podcast feeds.
INSTALLING THE MEDIA CENTER
To access your Media Center’s direct link (for Full Page version), or iFrame code (for Compact version); login and go to MANAGE > CHANNELS. Within the Theme section you can customize the appearance of your Media Center. Then, scroll down to SECTION 3. You will be provided with a variety of installation methods, including; direct link, iFrame embed code, text or image link that will launch Media Center within a popup window, and the customizable Social button (embeddable swf).
